Rule # 3

It's the first week of school and we are drilling the rules into our students' heads.

Rule #1: No talking while the teacher is talking.

Rule #2: Don't be a distraction.

Rule #3: Keep our hands to ourselves.

Rule #4:....

We didn't get that far before a student caught our eyes.
He had noticed a bug flying around the room. Nothing huge or harmful, just a gnat. His eyes followed as the gnat landed on his neighbors face... and before we could stop it... SMACK! He had already killed the bug- on the face of the little boy beside him. This little boy's eyes popped out of his head, his jaw dropped, and completely surprised and appalled look took him. The boy who successfully killed the gnat thought nothing of this happening. We looked at him, looked at rule #3, and questioned him as to why this was a good idea?!
He was taken back that we were not thrilled that he had killed the bug.

And now we have learned Rule #3.

Just a Thought...

As many of you know, I am still in school to become a teacher. Semester after semester I have been given the chance to meet some of the most interesting people. These people have made me laugh, cry, and really give some thought to life. And of course these people that I am talking about are my students.
The more time I get to spend with different students, the more I get to hear them talk, and oh the things they say! I could never keep track in my mind all the things that I have heard come out of my students' mouths- from things that are down right hilarious, to the things that are really ingenious.
Talking to my mom the other day, she suggested that I keep a diary with me that I could write down the words that pass by my ears throughout these school days. I'm not much of a diary keeper, but I loved the idea. So, blogging, here I come! I'm going to be keeping this blog to keep track of and share the things that I get to hear in my day to day experiences with my kids.
So, I hope that the things that I post will help you giggle a little during the day, or even give you something to think about.

Loving it,

Sharayah
